Gifts in Wills

Three great reasons to make, or update, your Will

  1. Having an up-to-date Will is the only way that you decide what happens to your property, money and possessions after you pass away.
  1. Gifts to charities are tax-free and are taken out of your estate before tax is calculated. By remembering Paul’s Place in your Will, you may reduce or even eliminate your inheritance tax.
  1. Many people find great comfort in knowing their Will can support looking after the people and causes they care about.

Susan, Gift in Will Pledger

Why Susan has left a gift in her Will to Paul’s Place

“Knowing when I am gone, that my Will could spread as much happiness as possible, puts a big smile on my face.”

I’m someone who always makes the most of life and I know how fortunate I am.

When I heard about Paul’s Place and learnt how lonely and isolated disabled people can be, it really touched my heart.

I went on their website to find out more and started volunteering for the charity.

Getting to know the Members, I quickly realised that despite the pain and constant struggle, Paul’s Place is a space for laughter and joy. Stories of friendship, of facing fears, of accomplishing things they never thought possible. It really does make a difference.

That was when I decided to include a gift in my Will to this wonderful charity. I followed the Free Gifts in Will Guide, called my solicitor and asked if I could change my Will to include a gift to Paul’s Place. It was that easy.

Having always been a person who enjoys making others happy, I can’t think of a better way to continue doing that when I’m gone. Especially for people less fortunate than me and knowing how much joy my gift to Paul’s Place will bring.

Your Gift in Will could change and enhance life for physically disabled adults:

“Recently, when I was away with Paul’s Place, I broke my fear and got into the swimming pool.  I had a smile from ear to ear.  It was heaven.  It’s made me think anything is possible.”
